iKaraoke

Last night in MGH 420, at 4:30PM the iSchool’s 4th cohort of Informatics students met for the last time all together in class. Afterward they went out for Red Robin, sat at a table for eighteen, gave a birthday cake to certain Tho To, and then sang their hearts out in Seattle’s Chinatown. Oh em gee wow, what a time!

This was my first time going out to Karaoke and it’s funny because in high school I would’ve told you I would *NEVER* even jokingly sing with friends. Couldn’t help but remember that while yelling out lyrics to some love song. It was awesome to goof off at Venus Karaoke. It’s surprisingly therapeutic…? Who knows, I’m not saying I’ll be hitting the karaoke joints regularly now, but it’s definitely an option when with a group of friends with a reason to celebrate.

Anyway, last night was just yet another reminder of how awesme my cohort is. I mean, Rufino got over half the class to come out and eat at Red Robin! Watching 440 presentations today, was being my nostalgic self and thinking how much we’ve all done together, and was musing how much I admire my peers not only in their friendships but even in the work they do. Oh and David wrote a cool summary of how do our PowerPoint tradition too.

I don’t feel like it’s quite break yet as there is still things on my plate. But am glad for the last night. Seems to be a continuing INFO tradition to go out big on the last day of quarter (this may in part be to due to the program not having Finals, har har har). Past INFO last days:
Fall 03 / Win 04 / Spr 04

Anyway yeah and now onto Capstone. Oh, and Christmas too. =)

I <3 karaoke with the right group of people.
W/o the right group of people, it can be an evening filled with awkward silences, blank stares, and half-hearted laughter. none of which are appealing for an enjoyable evening’s activities.

And yes, I admire trevor’s work also. He hooked the gear up server up real tight. It purrs like a kitten ;D
