Friday was the Death Cab for Cutie concert at the Paramount. Met up with Stephen, Paul, and my co-worker Joe out front a little early to exchange tickets before heading over to the bar at the Cheesecake factory for drinks and appetizers. (Can you say mini-hamburgers?) After hanging out there for a bit we headed over to the Paramount. The opening bands were on and as none of us were too interested in hearing them play, we moseyed around the Paramount’s elegant staircases. I ran into Jason there, so we talked with him for a bit before heading into the theater.
It was weird seeing the Paramount with the bottom floor seats taken out for the concert. In either case though, I really liked the venue. It was just really posh looking and spacious. The show was pretty good, was familiar with nearly every song. Just wish I didn’t have my current cold. However, as Stephen will probably attest, I’m a sort “boring” concert go’er. I could blame the kind of music, but I’ve realized that I prefer to enjoy my music sitting back in chair while enjoying a drink, rather than standing in a crowd, haha. But that’s just me. :)
Afterward we walked over to that Mexican place in Pacific Place to catch some late night food before their bar’s kitchen closed. Paul had to leave a bit early, but we hung out there a bit until Joe drove us home. It was a pretty nice chill night out.
