Untitled #9

I’ve been meaning to write so here goes. I’m so bad with entries. No, really. I write half ones (and sometimes complete ones) and stop from posting because I can’t get the wording right, beause I think the content is too silly to publish to the annals of the Internet, because I’m brutally picky when it comes to my words.

I started blogging because I like archiving my life. Yeah, go figure. I like seeing what I did Oct. 19, 2003 or browsing through old entries. It makes sense if I’ve ever shown you my box. This box at home I have, it’s filled with journals since 1st grade (Lil’ Mermaid, squishy aqua blue cover, yellow pages with orange lines). It’s filled with elementary school field trip name tags, schedules, old spelling tests, etc. Moms usually save this stuff, but no, ever since I could read and write I took certain delight in recording things for memory’s sake. My blog isn’t exactly the same as my journal, but it’s sorta my place to record the happenings en mi vida and share ’em. Lately I have been too particular about what goes up. Let’s see if I can crunch this entry out without my usual twenty-six edits.

Today’s classes were tough. Like ohmigosh there’s so many curves on this graph, what is going on. Man do I miss macro. I miss my changing interest rates and defensive open market operations. None of this delta times captial per capita, relative international market price stuff. Paul’s in my class though, makes even econ funny at times. We had Happy Hour at the Ram after class and I had BBQ quesadillas.

Lots happened this weekened. Like Thursday after work, Ryan and Anthony visited me and it was off to Happy Hour @ Ivar’s with the Kevin, Ash, David, and Rufino. Nothin’ like ending a closing shift at work with clam chowder and a Hefeweizen. Friday was Irene’s birthday party @ Leilani’s Lanes. It was cool hanging out with her, Chrysti, Val and some of her friends in the awesome tackniess of this bowling alley. Lani Kai lounge for drinks and cake, followed by some mad Twilite Gamble Bowling (think black light and cash prizes), while stuffing my face with a deliciously greasy bowling alley Patty Melt and fries. Bowled my best game EVER (ninety-seven!) and won four dollars for a split. Had a pretty great night. Val mentioned it was like old times (minus my bowling score).

Saturday after Thai food with some of the IUGA officers for lunch, I went shopping with Jules at La Pitaya and the Powder Room. She got a pretty hot dress (that I already know doesn’t fit me..) to be seen on Friday night. Later that night, went out with the INFO Crew to attend David’s Cambodian New Year!

And now getting sleepy.. will continue writing about Cambodian New Year (and fix my type-o’s above) tomorrow … must not edit now.

nice job on the non-editing. your writing has character in it regardless of the 26 edits.

    PS. hello from Bend!
