Time to sum up the action-packed Memorial Day Weekend! Here goes:
I had the day off on Friday and celebrated the warm, sunny morning by hitting the gym, going to mass, and buying cupcakes at Trophy. Then Ryan and I left to the airport to pick-up my cousins!
Nikki landed first and we all waited in the cell phone parking lot and ate cupcakes in the car until she arrived. Once we picked up Jenny, we were all pretty hungry (despite the cupcakes) so we made our first stop at Duke’s Chowder House in Southcenter so they could try some Northwest chowder.
After Duke’s, we swung by Michaels to look for some wedding decor to mock-up (in our spare time) and then drove back into the city. Next stop: Gasworks Park…
… where Ryan took photos!
Then we headed back home to settle in before heading out again to walk through U-District and UW campus…
…. to go watch Frankie’s band perform!
But first we waited outside the theater and drank free samples of Fuze.
After the show, we headed over to International District for some Chinese food at Purple Dot. (Unfortunately this was the one meal without a photo, I guess we were that hungry.)
And then we topped off the night at Gossip for some bubble tea before heading back home.
Not bad for Day 1! 😀
