After work today, Casey and I went went out to dinner. She leaves home to Germany tomorrow so we made plans to hang out. I wanting to take advantage of the Entertainment Book and Casey wanting honey walnut prawns, we set out to my favorite Ho Ho Seafood Resaturant in Chinatown. It was pretty spectacular. Yeah, Chinese food like this makes my heart happy, haha. We had honey walnut shrimp, sizzling rice seafood soup, and garlic green beans with pork, and steamed rice. It’s funny how easily I forget the delectability of honey walnut prawns. Gosh. Good stuff.
Anyway, dinner was good. Lots of talk and then a run to Uwajimaya for me to buy patis to validate parking. It was good times, Amanda Case! It’s crazy to think how much has happened since we first became roommates in Terry Hall almost four years ago.
The night before after work I met up with Greg and Ryan for Mexican food. Greg moves back to New York for law school Friday and so it was time for our last dinner out in Seattle together. We went to El Camino in Fremont. The atmosphere was pretty awesome and the restaurant looked promising. However, the lack of selection, relatively small portions (we’re talking Mexican food here), and prices quickly diminished the restaurant’s ambiance. After $50 was spent between the three of us, we left to find true satisfaction at our friendly neighborhood Taco Bell. Hollerr.
So El Camino wasn’t exactly a hit. (If you’re a fan of Agua Verde though, you’ll probably like it.) So we took our Taco Bell to go and then ate it at picnic table in Greenlake. And took pictures!
Then we went back to my place where I made Greg some halo halo (I still had ingredients from when I made some with David and Teresa the day before). Lots of dinners with people going in and out. Jules and Case will be back in a few weeks. Greg I intend to visit. In any case, it makes a good reason to go out to dinner with friends.
Anyway, hope the weather gets better. Though it doesn’t look likely. Tomorrow we get a half day in the office before heading over with the co-workers to a Mariners game. I’m not too big on baseball but I’ll go for the free beer and hot dogs thx. 🙂
